Planning Application: FAIL

Fife Council continue to show an admirable degree of common sense. It's a small victory but a victory nonetheless.

Fingers crossed they don't go to appeal. On recent evidence, the Reporter would find in favour of the applicant. As you know, we've been through this already once with Scottish Power back in 2004. They got rejected and yet they went to appeal, only to withdraw at the last moment. We're hoping this time it will be it and they won't ever try again on Clatto.

Still, lots more battle to fight and win around here.

Hi Andy. I don't have an exact figure on how many proposals are in the pipeline but it's a lot. There's definite opposition within the Council tho' and there's an encouraging amount of local action groups springing up. But aye, it does seem never-ending. Keep up the good work.

They always appeal and sadly, the majority of the appeals are successful as the Reporters are only allowed to look at Planning Law and Government Guidelines.

Government Guidelines seem to be top trumps...

I hope it works out in your favour, Kev.

Both applications went to appeal, Kev. The reporter did turn down the one in 'Muchty but that was a few years back. I fear now reporters are far less inclined to reject applications. Fingers crossed...
