Any Excuse

The Anjungilak Air Pillow; I must be one of the last people in the world to get one of these but it's one of those things that I never got around to buying for myself.

A decent night's kip? Here's hoping.

Praise be for birthdays then. Now I just need to get out and use it. Next weekend looks promising*. Something a wee bit higher up to avoid the midgies. Or not, if it's breezy lower down. A hill will be climbed tho'. Yes, indeed.

I suspect this coming week at work will be a bit of a pig and I'll have earned a break by Friday.

Update 08/08/08: Rain stops play. Forecast is uniformly rubbish from one side of the country to t'other.

*All plans are subject to change at short, or no, notice.

I have had one for a while. I don't know if anyone else has this problem with them, bur they do 'creak' a bit! I have noticed Lord Elpus's do the same as well. I think its the pastic of the balloon inner rubbing against the inside of the soft outer fabric.

Having said all that I would not be without mine! Enjoy your trip.

I usually just "make do" with spare clothes or boots under my head but I'm getting to the stage where I like my comfort :o)

Anyway, they're so light it seems daft not to carry one.

The squeaking shouldn't be a problem; I've got a Laserlite and earplugs are practically mandatory :o)

I got some £1.99 inflatable flocked ones from Tesco, work well, could do with being about an inch thiicker though!

For £2, you could justify having several. Maybe sandwich them together? (Duck tape?)

I comfort myself with the knowledge that a) the Ajungie was "free" and b) folk were paying £25+ for them not so long ago.

Mine disnae squeak btw :o)

Mine squeaks life a mofo. But I love it like I would love Galaxy Counters if they reissued them and I don't care how much it weighs :o)

Maybe I've got a duff one? Or they've changed the inner. Either way, I'll be jiggered if I can get it back in the stuff-sac :o(

Galaxy Counters? They were like wee Revels, yes? Havnae seen them for years. There's a definite lack of really good sweeties these days. Peanut butter M&M's and Tablet are probably the only things I get excited aboot.

Or a good pie :o)

Aye, the the plain chocolate Revels. A deluxe chocolate button if you will.
The packet was white with cartoon animals with big brown spots on them smiling away at you.
You can tell how much I miss them...
