View from the back garden with East Lomond in the middle distance
It hasnae rained for nearly 3 days tho' so I expect there'll be drought warnings along soon enough.
Bloody typical that the good weather comes along mid-week as well. The Beeb and Triple Echo must be gutted; if only they'd scheduled The Great Climb for this weekend. The Weather Gods must be pishin' themselves. And 'twas ever thus.
Welcome to Scotland. Hope you packed your wellies.

Very cool picture. Is that really from your back garden? Its a lot better view than I have if so!
Aye t-a, it is. From there I can see the Cleish Hills, the eastern edge of the Ochils, Benarty, Bishop Hill, West Lomond, East Lomond and Largo Law. We've been getting some beautiful sunrises recently :o)

Aye indeed. I've often thought that "Welcome to Scotland. Bring a packed lunch" would be a good one as well.
I know what you mean. Reading Tom Weir, it's hard to imagine these days, turning up at somebody's door and saying "Hello. I'm here to climb some mountains. Can you put me up for a few days?" and not have the dogs set on you.
I'm sure tho' that there are places where traditional "Heelan Hospitality" still exists but I tend not to see it, preferring self-reliance above all else :o)
